On the border of Gowanus and Park Slope, Il Vino Torchio opened in the summer of 2011. The store is located on 4th Avenue between St. Mark’s Place and Bergen Street. Il Vino Torchio adds to the growing list of new and exciting businesses on the Avenue. Owner Marcelo Torchio, chose this location because he felt there was a wine store niche in the neighborhood that needed to be filled. Marcelo designed Il Vino Torchio to be a cozy and charming neighborhood wine shop with special attention paid to customers’ feedback and requests. Wines from around the world are all hand picked by Marcelo to suit the tastes and budget of the store’s clientele. Every Friday we offer a Wine Tasting which enables us to discover new wines together and to catch up with clients.
